"You're safe. I'm right here," Aeron said softly as Siren woke up. "Shhh, you should lay down, Arabelle says you need rest." He said, gently pressing her shoulders so she would lie down again.

"Lance attacked us, and when you tried to fight him off he ran, but not before he shot you with some sort of dart thing." Aeron answered Siren. "You've been out for a while." he said, still holding her hand.

Aeron heard Siren moving, but he didn't look back. He wasn't mad, he just didn't know how to deal with this right now. Aeron left the house, finding himself among the plants and animals. He knelt, seeing a small squirrel near the base of a tree. He gestured toward it with an acorn, "Here little guy, take this one." He said, sitting down. Aeron looked up at the sky, the rain had cleared, and the sun was beginning to shed its first light of a new morning. At that moment Aeron felt something change, in a good way. He looked at the nature that he loved so much, and he could swear he saw God. He finally knew that he didn't have to go through this alone, that he had God on his side. Aeron felt peace for the first time in as long as he could remember.
