Holo had been a stranger to the court for the longest time, she had hid and stayed away from all nobles most having long time ago mistake her for a servant girl who occasionally played with the princes. But that was before the crowning of King Lyle and the division between the brothers. Or the burning of Holo's home the gardens of eagles point. She truly missed those days of frolic and carefree nature. Now? now she had to be a proper lady at least in some respects and it felt so stifling. Revealed to the court under the guise of the king's ward but soon to be labeled by many as his consort and concubine if one listened to such things although she was protective of Lyle and he of her.
Forced to hide her ears and tail under fancy dress and hat she had learned how to curtsey and proper diction in most thing. Yet Holo was still of the wild and her behaviour was that of no noble lady when the king was not around to correct her for she ran and played with servants children and was not afraid of climbing no matter how improper it was. It was such a situation Holo had found herself in for the ball she had been playing with not moments before had got itself stuck in a tree. A soldier had attempted to get it back but fell due to the weight of his armour just causing Holo to giggle before helping him up "dont worry I shall get it myself" promptly removing her petticoat and sham of her skirt to allow movement before scandalously climbing after it half dressed.

Suzaku had been leaving Lyle's chambers and had gone outside when he noticed a girl climbing up in a tree to retrieve something. "Miss, do you require some assistance?" Although the women from where he had come from were often climbing trees, Suzaku had noted the usual ladies in waiting here were not that type of girl. He reached the tree and looked up at the girl but then quickly looked away since he had been standing directly under her.

"No- I got it!" Holo exclaimed as she reached for the ball not even knowing Suzaku was under her the guard quickly turning away himself "M-my lady the king would be most cross if he heard of this". Grabbing the ball though Holo could only laugh "Well then perhaps you should tell the trees not to steal peoples things" saying something so whimsical and nonsensical for a courtier. Looking down below "better move or I shall drop on you" she stated simply before hopping down holding unto a lovely hat on her head the only encumbrance she hadn't removed to retrieve the ball.
Landing quite solidly if a tad less graceful as she tripped over her shoes gently bumping Suzaku "oops! damned shoes...." huffing softly as she promptly kicked the shoes off her feet which cause a bit of more protest from the guard. But she simply rolled her eyes and gently hung up her petticoat on a branch brushing it off along with her sham looking back to Suzaku "forgive me for bumping into you... I swear if Lyle didnt insist on such stupid footwear I would walk around barefoot, those things are horrid to run in"

Suzaku chuckled and said, "It's perfectly fine ma'm. I must say that you surprise me. May I know your name?" Suzaku smiled at her then looked to the guard. The guard clearly looked exhausted trying to keep up with the girl. "Soldier, I shall make sure of the lady's safety."

the poor guard looked at him then looked at Holo but seeing her fixing herself up immediately turned away covering his eyes "But- the king-" "Oh just go will you? im headed to the duck pond neck and I may get it in my head to have you fetch my ball from the water" she said mostly just teasing the poor guard who gave up leaving them. Holo putting back on her clothes proper and gently pulling leaves from her hair as she turned to face Suzaku "You may look now... though what surprises me is that you dont know who I am, im sure there's more then a few rumors" huffing softly as that as she just held the little golden ball she now had a little tighter "I am Holo the- the King's Ward, but I believe most of you have another name for me yes?"

He stared blankly at her for a moment. The king had not mentioned this and he didn't participate in much social activity with the palace residences. He bow apologetically. "I apologize lady Holo, but I'm afraid I am not familiar with your name or title. I do not spend much time in conversation with the palace residents since I am usually outside the palace on patrol in the market and areas close to there."

Holo blinked but only smiled at the young man watching hims with a laugh "no no no don't apologize, it is quite refreshing not to mention I am only a recent addition to the castle I wouldn't expect you to know everything. Please... just call me Holo" nodding her head at that before she gently began to play with the ball then just gently passing it over to Suzaku "So.. are you going to be just as boring as all the other guards or not?"

He shook his head and smiled. "I don't think so. You'll have to let me know." Suzaku tossed the ball from hand to hand before finally tossing the ball high into the air. Suzaku then did a back flip and when he landed he was in the form of a white wolf. The ball landed on his nose and he balanced it there as he stood on his hind legs and tagged his tail.

(XD okay so I havent been paying attention so much)
Holo watched him with a raised eyebrow and vaguely uninterested as he just tossed the ball around that is before the acrobatic stunt watching the ball go high as he backflipped and changed. Once she saw his wolf form her eyes went wide staring at him before immediately her cheeks became flushed red. A wolf.... he was a wolf.... and a white wolf like her mother and brothers had been. Instantly she wanted to cry but instead she held back the tears to just smile and clap softly "You-you are talented" her voice softer then before almost a whisper. She didn't know how to feel, part of her was overjoyed at finding another wolf here but another part knew she couldn't tell the boy what she really was especially out in the open like this. Even though one of the reasons she had been such a terror to the whole palace was because she had missed her family so much. Now there was a white wolf just like them and she couldn't even say a word, it was a slow painful breaking of her heart.

Suzaku shifted back to his human form and handed the ball back to her. "Thank you. I used to do silly stuff like this all the time for a girl I once knew." Suzaku looked at her face and could tell the something was bothering her. "Is everything ok Holo?"

Holo gently took the ball hugging it to her chest as she looks up at him for only a moment before withdrawing her gaze "... no- its nothing- thank you... that was a very funny display. I-I didnt know any of the king's soldiers were shifters" under her hat and skirt both her tail and ear lowered any indication was only a soft shift of her clothing which she masked under her normal movements. Forcing herself to smile again "Where did you come from?... I know some of the people here were brought here- I was born here"

He could see that she didn't want to talk about it so he nodded. "I'm not from here. I was dying when apparently Destino decided I was worth saving. I've been trying to use this second chance to help make a difference any way I can."

"A noble cause for a knight" she responded softly before moving along as she gently bounced the golden ball having quite the dexterity for a young maiden "though kind of a foolish one.... but you remind me of somebody that I used to know..."
