Chainey stood on the top of the building she had been staying in. The night was all around her, the only time when she had any hope of blending in. Being caught would mean awful complications, but being alone was boring. She grew more hungry by the minute, every human that passed she could taste in her mouth. She licked her lips, standing like a statue, her wings against her back. She looked like a stone gargoyle above the building, her form hidden and blurred by darkness.

Young wizard student was having the time of his life walking through the town, enjoying his new powers. He loved making kids smile with his powers. He was still confused on why Pitch had given them to him. The man had his motives and Jack was sure that he was trustworthy but a part of him was wary.
"Now what should i do?" he thought, stopping in his spot to watch several people pass by

Chainey crouched low, seeing a boy in the clearing as most other walked on to their nighttime activities. She climbed down the roof, sneaking about down an alley until she was sure nobody was around the bow. "What is your name, child of the desert?" Came a voice from the darkness beside an old looking inn. The voice was feminine, but strong.

Jack was startled backwards and fell to the ground, freezing a bit of it as he did so. Looking up through his white locks, he tried to locate the voice, only to find nothing. Finding it odd. he shook his head. 'You must be going crazy Jack.' he replied but decided to play along. "I am Jackson, Jackson Frost but everyone calls me Jack."

The creature walked from the shadows, looking as if a detailed gargoyle had come to life. She was dressed in a loin clothe and a tank top, the bottom of her stomach was exposed. Her tail dragged as she walked much like a dinosaur. She bowed her head to get a better look at him. "You're much too young to be out so late."

Jack was a bit taken back by the girl's apperance. "I am eighteen, i am practically an adult." his blue eyes narrowed a bit, he hated being treated like a kid. "It's not really any of your business what i am doing out here anyways."

She put her ears back, the kid had the nerve to speak to her in such a manner despite her much taller appearance? She stood tall for a moment and pointed her head to the sky. "You are young in thought, not in age. Besides, I'm a bit blind so I think I have a right to mistake you were a child by your smell." She commented, putting her ears back. "I must return to shadows. Tell no one you've met me if you wish to keep from seeing the sharp side of my fangs." She warned lightly, more to protect him than to claim dominance over him.

She put her ears back, "good." She walked over to the side of the building, but stopped to look behind her. "You have powers, don't you?" She questioned, having noticed he took her words quite well. Normally humans might be afraid, or protest, depending on how much they valued their life or how much pride they held. Gifted humans however were quite well to taking in new things and surprises.

Jack smiled, she knew that he had powers. Wow. Was he ever lucky, normally people had to see it to believe it. "Sure do, i can fly and manipulate ice at my will." he said giving a goofy grin as he did so before hovering a few feet off the ground. "See, look at how awesome i am!"

She put her ears back once he took off, then smiled. She stretched her own wings and flapped them, but she only flew up for a bit. "I can mostly glide with my wings, but I find it fascinating you can fly without any wings." She complimented. She put her ears forward again, "My name is Chainey."

"Nice to meet you Chainey." Jack said with a smile holding his staff in his hands tightly. "You already know my name. So, can i ask what you are doing out here?" he asked raising a snow white eyebrow but kept the smile on his face. "You don't seem like the type to go hanging around town." he said with a shrug.

Chainey put her ears up and nodded a bit, "That's true, but I came out to hunt." She admitted. "I would have taken your blood, but unfortunately your color is very beautiful and therefore I cannot spill any of your blood." She explained, giving him a small smile.

Jack felt his cheeks heat up. "Really? My color?" he asked. "What do you mean by that?" he smirked, "Are you saying that you find me attractive?" not that he could be blamed for looking so good looking. It was just teh way he was born.
