Lyle thought she tasted well, better than some of the other girls he had kissed. Although he couldn't remember the last time he had kissed a girl, except the one who denied him. They had kissed before, but their last kiss ended quite harshly, he remembered that clearly now. He shook his head of the mystery girl he had once loved and hugged Holo tighter. "I don't know who I am anymore." He confessed, a sudden change of subject.

Lyle put his head onto her shoulder, "But I can't feel anything... I also hear voices that do not belong to any human. I don't belong anywhere Holo, to love me is to love nothing." He warned her softly, his voice slightly above a whisper. "What I do, I do to get those voices to shut up... I do it because I'm afraid." He wasn't sure if what he was saying was sincere or true, but he wanted to speak them anyway, he didn't know what else to say. He didn't know if he could be true to himself.

"shhh shhh shh" she said softly moving her hand up to stroke his hair "its okay... im here, Lyle.... you can feel, it doesnt matter what you hear. You are not nothing, you are the one and only you.... dont be scared, I am here. Wolves are the ancestors of dogs we can be more fierce and more loyal then dogs. Lyle closed his eyes and calmed down, the voices of the desert were dry and gone for a moment. "Then I will try- I will try to care for you too.." He offered, although he wasn't sure he could ever do such a thing. "The desert says I should care for another, but she is not half the women you are, or half the friend." He held her a bit tighter, moving his head to rest on hers. "The desert wants her, but I want you."

Holo had to admit to herself it had pained her a little to hear that something in him wanted someone else for a potential mate even though they had been around one another so long.... but then he was sweet saying he wanted her. She rested her head with his before looking into his eyes for a moment a blush coming to her cheeks "Will you.... show me how to kiss again? I dont think I did it right the first time"

Lyle held her for a moment, listening to her breathing. He could hear the desert crying, it was talking about something useless. He looked down and pulled back a bit when she requested another kiss. He smiled and nodded, "Before bed... I will make sure." He assured her. "Let's catch some more." He gestured to the fish in his hand, walking to the shore to wrap the fish in leaves.

Holo's tail just wagged softly under her skirt at the idea before grinning and nodding before doing as he asked and going to catch some more. Playing a bit in the water as this time she tried catching them with her hands which led to a few comedic misses and almost catches as she laughed. The happiest he's seen her in a long time. Giggling softly as she caught one large one that knocked her over though she still manage to hold on. But her hat came off floating a bit down river as she giggled before she realized revealing her ears she tossed the fish to Lyle before chasing after her hat. the one that Gambit had gotten her long ago it was her favourite hat.

Lyle was a bit worried when she tried to catch a bigger fish, but he smiled when she overcame it. "Nice catch!" He had to admit, wading out to take the fish she had thrown his way. He ignored the hat, choosing not to think about his brother. Gambit would always hold a special place in his heart, he couldn't deny that, but he also hated the fact Gambit had abandoned him.

It was a bit cute to see her chasing after it weighed down but her wet dress but she got it cheering when she did. Letting out a bit of laughter as she reached the shore shaking herself off a bit like a mutt those lovely little silken wolf ears of hers peaking out from her hair.

Lyle couldn't help but laugh at how much she resembled a dog. "You should probably just take a shower next time." He suggested, finding it would be more human like than shaking off as a dog would. He shrugged though, guessing it wouldn't matter either way. "We should probably get back and cook these."
