Chainey had given Phoebus a piece of paper with the address to the inn she normally stayed in. The inn was small and located at the edge of town, just before a section of the town that was broken up and burned, never been rebuilt. The inn was adorable in the fashion it held. There was an ivy covered latter that lead up to the top room, a two story building with white stone and mud brick columns. The lady who ran the inn was instructed to give Phoebus directions to the upper room down the small hall and up the stairs, where Chainey normally slept. While she did have a room in the main house, she came here when things became too hard for her to handle.
The room itself was dark, the furniture spread over the floor, the bed stripped of sheets. There was a man with a small knife on his belt that continued to look through drawers and push over things. He seemed to be looking for someone, or something.
Chainey kept watchful eyes on the stranger from the dark of the rafters, staying in a small loft above the door, an easy miss unless one knew it was there.

Phoebus was bitter. He was dark and cold. The day where Lyle had exiled Chainey was where it had all gone downhill. People may have judged him by his muscles and fit body, assuming that he was only good for fighting, but he hadn't gone up the military ranks to captain for his looks. He wasn't a fool, he knew that Chainey was falsely accused. It was an exercise of power that reminded him far too much of his old boss in his old city. It hurt him to be in the Capital now, because it felt like a duplicate of the past. Sometimes he just wanted to leave and vanish into the red desert horizon, drown in the sands so that no one could find him. Because of the memories, Phoebus had grown to detest Lyle in the past month. Whenever he had to report something, having been stripped back down to a normal guard, he always went to the palace guards and never Lyle himself. He didn't want to see that man's face.
Chainey, before she had left, had given Phoebus an address to where she would be staying. It was a nice inn, a cozy place that reminded him of a cottage that one would find deep in the forest. When he entered, a woman perked up slightly. Her alert eyes were like a hawk, the way they watched Phoebus approach. She asked if his name was Phoebus, and he said it was. She told him, in a rather tight-lipped and recited manner, how to get to Chainey's room. Phoebus nodded his head in thanks, and then continued on his way.
Once he entered the room, he saw a shadow slither by toppled furniture. Phoebus immediately straightened, and his hands balled into tight fists. A light crack of the knuckles could be heard. He looked to the shadow. The figure had a squarish shape; it was masculine rather than feminine. Taking on a hard militant tone, Phoebus said, "Who are you?" His brow furrowed in suspicion.

The man turned, he was wearing a gray mask, a blank expression portrayed and the eyes shaped like diamonds on the mask. The man drew his blade and ran for Phoebus, perhaps not expecting company, but ready for a fight it seemed. Before he could complete half of the room toward the man, the thief paused, the eyes showing behind the mask were wide.
A large shape moved above the two, it crawled down from it's perch. Only a hand could be made out in the dim lighting, caused by the shades loosely over the window. The hand came down and was placed on the floor, showing how long the arm was. The hand could hardly be called such. The silver green cover of the skin was sick enough, but the claws took up the majority of the hand, a scaly covering acting as the skin of it's fingers.
Two red dots opened above them, the creature coming down beside Phoebus. The thief regained his strength after a moment and dared to act fast. The man lunged forward, but the red dots were already on the move. The creature was fast, huge as well, and it overtook the man. The thief was picked up and rushed into the back wall. A small crunching sound along with a thud could be heard. The creature looked much like an oversize bat mixed with a demonic wolf. It's ears were tattered and tall. The creature's muzzle was only seen in a blur as it turned it's head for a second. The muzzle had many teeth sticking down. The back arched unnaturally, a spiky skeleton poking at the odd colored skin.
The thief made only one noise of displeasure and pain at the thud, then he weakly raised his knife. The creature made no intention of stopping it, the monster simply watched as the thief drove it into it's chest. The two red dots looked down as blood dripped from it's own body, but then it just closed it's eyes. The thief's eyes widened, then a murder scene played out within seconds. The monster started rapidly pushing the man's shoulders into the wall, back and forth it pounded the man back until blood dripped from the mask, his shoulders, loosely attached by flesh, ripped at the base of the shoulder blade and more blood spilled. After the cracking sounds stopped, the monster dropped the body to the ground.
Chainey stumbled back as she looked down to her claws, stained with blood. She drew back a bit and slowly turned toward Phoebus, the red dots looking confused. Then the monster backed into the corner and slid into a sitting position.

Phoebus got a better look at the thief, and then saw a change in the man's body language. Phoebus prepared himself. He had brought a knife of his own just in case. It was strapped to his leg, hidden under brown leather boots. He lowered, trained to retrieve the knife from its hiding place within seconds, and then prepared to fight the man off. He didn't know where his captain was, but if this man had hurt her, Phoebus would show no mercy. He would injure, question, and then decide the man's fate later.
But the attack never came. The next thing Phoebus knew, a large shape, something very inhuman looking, leapt between them. Phoebus saw the hand on the ground. It was a sickly green, the hand of a monster. With incredible speed and strength, the monster seized the thief and shoved him up against the wall. Phoebus's eyes widened, his lips parting slightly, creating a very small gap. The creature was very frightening and violent in appearance. It looked like a vampiric werewolf if such a creature existed.
A thought struck him in that second, and he gawked in realization. This monster was Lady Chainey! Phoebus cried out in shock when the thief plunged his knife into Chainey's chest, but Chainey seemed to have felt nothing. Then something triggered in her. Phoebus could sense the bloodlust, could practically feel it as if it was a vibration in the room. His mouth went dry, his chest went tight with panic. "Lady Chainey, wait!" he cried out. "Wait, stop!" But she was caught in her violence, and brutally murdered the man. The scene was absolutely horrifying. Had Phoebus not been trained to be desensitized to violence and gore, he could have puked. Such a scene would have knocked a normal person unconscious from fright.
Phoebus watched Chainey sit down in the corner. For a monstrous creature, she looked oddly docile at the moment. He stared at her in silence. His heart was beating quickly. He wasn't afraid for himself, but rather afraid for her. He was worried about what this form was capable of, and how much damage she could do to herself and others with it. He felt unsettled in this form's presence, but he forced himself to take a few steps forward. "Lady Chainey?" he said gently, looking to her with both sympathy and caution.

Chainey looked down at her claws, the blood seemed to drip from the skin. She caught it before anymore landed on the floor, licking her claws clean. When he spoke her name, her ears poked up and she turned her head to him. A small smile formed, but it was much like a dog's smile. She lifted her lips above some of the teeth, but it looked more like a growl than a smile. It was sarcastic looking, and she meant it that way. She lifted herself up and walked over to the body.
She stood over it for a moment, turning her head in Phoebus's direction. She didn't speak, but instead grunted, then growled a bit, as if warning him not to come near. She put her ears back and reached down with her neck. Her teeth clenched around the body's neck and she pressed firmly to release it's blood into her mouth. After a moment, she dropped the head and grabbed a chunk of it's arm, tearing at it like a dog on a bone. The flesh came loose and she tossed it into the air. She caught it between her teeth and swallowed it whole. She took a bigger piece of flesh from his stomach area and tossed it up again. She swallowed this one more like a bird, pulling it into her mouth and barely chewing. After she repeated the process a bit more, growling when appropriate to warn Phoebus she wasn't sharing, she stopped. The monster backed away from the body and put it's hand over it's head.
The monster bent down and begun to change, a rather fast process. The tears receded some and looked more taken care of once again. The body mass stayed the some, some of the skin swimming toward her back as it formed black and light grayish purple wings. Her skin changed to match the color of the wings and the bones that had stuck out now receded to form a skeleton for a tail. After some more skin swam to the tail to fill it, the body was more lean. It was actually more feminine as well, a clear contrast to the monster before, but still not nearly human. The creature did not turn, instead it crossed it's arms over it's chest and walked to the bed. The face was a bit more pointed and it's teeth were still sharp, the canines prominent. The creature had hair though, much like Chainey's, but a bit longer with different volume. It held the feel of horse hair. She did not speak, only wrapped a blanket loosely around her chest. "Don't say anything stupid, okay?" Chainey spoke, her voice a bit deeper than normal, but still higher than Phoebus. She was taller than him as well, and she walked on animal like scaled legs.

Phoebus was a man of high tolerance, but watching Chainey devour the man like a wolf tearing into the hide of a deer was very unsettling. His expression contorted, twisting into a grimace, and on occasion when blood was gushing all over the walls and floor like juice, he had to look away. If a thief could invoke so much rage from her, and make her seem so inhuman, then he could hardly imagine what a person who commited larger crimes would do. Like a dog, she actually growled sometimes, as if telling Phoebus to back off from her meal. He took several steps back from her, and folded his arms across his chest. He swallowed. His nails dug into his arms. Did she invite him here to prove a point? Was this all just to show him that she was a monster like she said? He could certainly believe that, but the one thing that prevented him from trying to attack her or run was that he knew this was against her will. It was demonic behaviour instilled in her. It was something she couldn't control, a curse.
Thankfully, she took on more of a humanoid appearance, still monstrous, but at least more human-like and less like a beast. She sat on the bed, and told him not to say anything stupid. At this point, all Phoebus could do was look at the mutilated body on the ground and the blood and organs spilled on the floor. He turned so that Chainey could only look at him in profile, and his arms continued to dig into his chest tightly. "I have nothing to say." Phoebus said simply. His voice was low and neutral. He looked ahead at the wall for the longest time, silent and not saying anything. When some time had passed, he looked at Chainey from his peripheral. "Why did you give me your address, Lady Chainey?" he asked more seriously, almost scoldingly. "How can you be sure to trust me? What if I ever led them to you?" He turned to look at her. His expression was hard now, cold and dark. "Even in this form, they could find some way to hurt you, I'm sure. Do you think I'd ever want that to happen? What is the point?" In frustration, a mixture of conflicted emotions he couldn't understand, he shook his head and turned away from her. He faced the door, tempted to leave to spare them both trouble.

Chainey watched him with interest, her eyes actually focused this time, as if she could see more than his color. A claw raised and was placed in her mouth a bit, as if she was pondering over his form for something. Her ears perked when he said he had nothing to say. She rose from the bed and walked over to a bedpost that laid on the ground. She picked up a book, the covers of the bed trailing behind her as she covered her breasts in it's warmth. The book looked a bit old and had a white ribbon around it. The title read 'Charlotte's Web'. She held the book in her hand, only to sit back on the bed with it.
When he spoke, her ears perked up and her eyes looked forward instead of at his form. She put the book down beside her. She was quiet as he seemed to create a scenario in which she was hurt or something, she barely paid attention. "Because you're my Wilbur," She spoke at last, then her ears folded back and she looked toward him. "I wasn't going to feed. I was going to die. I was going to die while you held my hand. You were going to be the last color I saw... but then he came, and he looked so good. I couldn't stop." She shrugged, clearly the feeding had been done before, perhaps several times. She walked to the body, dropping the blanket and keeping her back to him, her tail shyly wrapping around her waist. She started picking up pieces of the body she had separated before, stuffing them back in the stomach area that was exposed. She rose and looked to her hands.
She picked up a tank top from the cluster on the floor and slipped it over herself, her stomach still exposed. She crossed the floor to Phoebus, holding out her hands for him to see. "I would have loved for you to bring them here. You think I've got something left to live for?" She questioned, walking over to a bucket and washing her hands. She looked back to Phoebus and put her ears back, "You need me, just as much as I need you. I don't know why, but the fact is, everyone in the elite knows where I go when I'm like this. " She crossed back to him and became forward and unafraid, or was she always this way? She grabbed his arms and moved them from his chest, just forcefully enough to get her point across.((If that's okay?)) Then she pressed her head against his chest, having to bend down a bit. She closed her eyes and her ear listened intentively to his heartbeat. "You're the only puppy who came to see me." She confessed at last, not moving as she released his arms and put her paws beside her head on his chest.

Phoebus lost his breath when Chainey said he was her "Wilbur." What on earth was that supposed to mean? The feelings of discomfort and anxiousness settled in again. She spoke of how she was supposed to have died and how she had planned for him to watch it happen. He went rigid, suddenly feeling furious. "You wanted me to let you die? You expected me to just let that happen?" How could she have been so foolish? Then Phoebus caught his thoughts and his body stiffened. How could he have been so foolish? Reading her the book, and dancing intimately with her ... had he allowed himself to get too close? Had he allowed her to get too close? This bizarre connection they had ... it was completely inappropriate. It wasn't right. He took a step back, an appalled expression on his face. One of shock, pain, and realization.
"Yes," Phoebus choked out, watching her near with her hands outstretched. "I do. Damn it, Lady Chainey. You picked the wrong person. I wouldn't let you die. You're my captain, I --" He grit his teeth and stood more squarely on the ground, his broad shoulders matching the stance of his legs. He didn't like what she was saying, it was making his head spin. The only way to ground his thoughts was to ground himself physically. He felt like he was going to collapse. She went to him and grabbed his arms. He tried to resist. "You can't trust me as you do," he said with a protective bite in his voice, using his words like a brandished weapon. "It's unreasonable. I am still new! You could have picked Kai. You could have picked someone you know, someone you've trusted for a long time. You could have --" His rant was silenced when she successfully pulled his arms apart. He swallowed, and closed his eyes, as if expecting a hit. Then her head pressed to his chest. Despite her harder skin, it felt oddly comforting. His eyes opened, and the anger in his face dried up. He was speechless.
She had ripped apart his physical defences, and then her words about him being the only member to vist her impaled him right in the chest. His heartbeat quickened. She let go of his arms. They fell limply to his sides like a ragdoll. "But how can that be possible?" he asked, his voice just barely above a whisper. "Nobody ever ... only me?" He stood there loosely, looking ahead into an empty space. There was a glazed look in his eye as she pressed close to him with her head and hands.

Chainey smiled at his words, she loved this uncertainty he held in his voice. She adored the commanding tone, the desperate struggle between right and wrong. She found it adorable, and part of it could be the fact she was a monster. Or maybe most of it was because she was like a mother, treating them as she did, they were just children to her. The creature remained as she was, her smile fading at his question, then it resurfaced as she lifted her head off his chest and looked down into his eyes. "Only you would be foolish enough." She smiled, her ears pulling back in an affectionate manner.
"I trained every puppy, every dog, for years. I trained them to notice when I would turn, my weaknesses, how much was too much. How to overcome me if I should ever have the power to turn again. They all knew the monster in me, how different I was, and I warned them all the time. I was a good mother, I nipped at my children when they neared my food. I told them I would bite when they became old enough to leave, just as any mother would." She explained in a metaphor, as she was fond of doing. Her tail surfaced from behind her where it had been lagging on the floor. The tail picked at Phoebus's belt on the side of his leg, then snaked around his waist. She briefly looked down, the world blurry, but in the most focus and color it had ever been. She could almost see in her monstrous form, but only waves of color, a blurry sheet over the world. She then looked into his eyes, "But you're different."
She waited for the words to sink it, hoping he would find discomfort in them, perhaps get a well deserved reaction to them. After she was satisfied, her ears moved forward. "You were the last little puppy, and I never trained you, only warned you. You were the curious little puppy. I guess I just couldn't let you go, huh'? " She put her ears back again. "You say you want to atone for being a monster? I say so what." She put her claws on her waist. "I am a monster, and so are you. Learn to control the monster, don't banish the beast to a cage inside of you. You are beautiful the way you are." She nodded, then backed up a bit. "Tell me what you enjoyed the most about the power you had? Tell me about the people you'v stepped on! Be real with me." She almost stomped to emphasize this, but she decided against it. "All of us have a monster inside, I am just a lucky one to be able to see it. "I am no longer your captain Phoebus, you risked everything to be here. The real question is why are you here? Not why did I chose you. Why are you here?" She asked, turning to walk over to the bed. Her tail had released his waist the moment she backed away. The tail now flicked about, more lively than before. She climbed onto the window pane, which was larger than normal panes. She pulled back the curtains to allow the moonlight in. She laughed bitterly, for some reason, her eyes closed. Then she braced herself, stiffened her neck and drew her head up as she let out a howl.

"Oh." Phoebus replied with a frown. She was right, but it was still startling to hear. She explained how she had carefully trained the elite to adapt to her behaviour and recognize when the monstrous side of her was simmering below the surface. Her tail snuck up his leg and then wrapped around his waist. Phoebus gasped, though it was a quiet sound more like a person's breath hitching. He didn't know whether to consider this a woman's embrace, albeit a more animalistic looking one, or the hold of a python ready to constrict him until his skin went purple. Then she said he was different, and he went even more tense in her grip. His body ached like he had exercised intensely. This peculiar interaction between him and his former captain was just as tiring as an actual training session.
He couldn't understand what her words meant, but in all honesty, he wasn't sure he wanted to. She was only confusing him more and more, giving him different signals that he couldn't interpret. Phoebus straightened, and his chest swelled. An indignant look spread across his face when she insisted that he be real with her. "There is no real me," Phoebus said. "Anymore that is. There are only parts of myself I can shape from fragments. I am different now than I was many years ago." He met her eyes for a moment, and there was a lick of flame in his. "I was the minimum age required when I joined the military. I wanted to start right away. I wanted action, adventure, I wanted to be patriotic for my city. It is that sort of personality that the military just eats right up and takes advantage of. I was a perfect young soldier, a new pawn in their plan. They took my training to high levels. They took the bitterness inside and taught me how to take it out in violence and aggression. They pushed me and warped me until I was suitable for the ranks of captain. When I was monstrous and eager. The minister gave me privileges no one else had. My troops became my family. Other people were like roaches. A means to an end. I had no problem stepping on them, because they meant nothing to me. And I loved the power because of the control. I loved seeing the fear. The fear meant power. It made me feel dominant. A master of fates, twisting people as I pleased."
"But over time, I realized I was simply a puppet for the real master," Phoebus said bitterly. "And all of my training and the bonds I shared with the other soldiers were just walls put up to make me exactly what they wanted me to be. By that time, I realized what I had done could not be undone. I couldn't undo death and arrests. The damage had been inflicted and by then, I was no longer needed." Phoebus absent-mindedly brushed his fingers by his chest, thinking of where the bullet had hit him and how he was lucky to be alive. A few inches over and it could have taken his shrivelled heart and his life. Chainey released him and questioned him further. Phoebus sighed. His hands balled into fists and he turned his back to her. "I don't know." Phoebus said, gritting his teeth. He held back, only speaking a bit of the truth. "I respect you. I thought the reasoning behind your banishment was unjust."

Chainey put her ears back as she listened to him, she stood by the window now. She took in his story like a dog licking up meat upon a sword. There was a certainty it would bite back in the end, but it was too irresistible to resist. Her howl brought no response, clearly The Capital was either asleep, or figured she was merely a dog at mating season's beginning. Her ears pointed up as the story he told sunk in. "Do you miss them?" She asked after a bit, putting her ears up. For a moment, there was a look of distant curiosity and uncertainty. She flicked her ears back and looked away from him, her wings flexing a bit as if she were mulling over something, needing a distraction.
"Do you miss the soldiers who were once your family? Did you ever forgive them?" She asked, a silent and higher voice returning to her. "I know little of the vampire clan to which I come from, and I barely saw my sisters and brothers in tubes when I escaped. I saw my mother, just a beast, that's what was left of her at least. She held back the monster for so long, when they drew it out, it was too powerful for her to control." Chainey shrugged.
"Me? I don't mind what I am." She confessed, stretching her wings to their full extent and making fists to flex her arm muscles. "The night gives me power, makes me a part of nature. Creatures fear me, and naturally so. I have long embraced what I am! And together, we cou-" She stopped, her eyes widened and she grabbed her stomach, her wings falling down as she backed up and turned to the window. She stuck her head out the window and made a sound one would when they attempt to get something out of their system. She pulled her head back in and wiped some blood from her lip, her eyes less aglow and her ears back. Her scales were a bit more pale in her face, much like skin would react to sickness. "We could hide all we wanted, but monsters will always be hunted. Always hated. You can hide, you can change. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to draw any monster from you. Perhaps I just thought-" She lowered herself to the ground, now the action seem to be a strain. She was growing weaker all of a sudden. "I thought there was someone like me. I'm wrong, you're nothing like me. Thank you for taking the risk, but you should probably just forget about me. It was wonderful to train you and everyone in the elite." She gripped her knees and weakly rose, her voice seemed fake now.
It sounded like one who was being polite, or lying to protect. She gave a small smile, then stood strong and calmly walked to the door. "But you should leave now before you are caught. You're a good soldier, I was proud to be your captain. " She closed her eyes and put on a brave face, her chest puffed out a bit and her tail wrapping around her own waist. "Farewell comrade."

Phoebus was surprised by her question for a moment. He lost his straighter stance, and looked thoughtful. This was a subject he had to consider, for it was a delicate one. Then he sighed. "I trusted them. I did see them like ... I suppose how you see us as your puppies. When I was captain, I looked at them like cousins. It was a massive wake up call when the minister I worked for tried to have me killed and drowned. I realized that there was never a friendship or respect. The only reason any of them were friendly, especially my boss, was not out of a bond, but because they were using me to their benefit. As soon as I displayed behaviour that didn't fit to their little mould, it made them paranoid. Well, it made the minister paranoid anyway. He was the one who ordered the attack on my life, and the others showed no hesitation."
He listened to her with a certain sadness in his eyes, a weariness that made him look older than he was. His skin almost looked grey, lightly tainted with the sweat of fatigue and stress. He could sympathize with Chainey, and she didn't fully realize it. Her body grew weak, and he could sense a change of behaviour in her. She screamed out the window and there was blood on her mouth. She was weakening, he knew it. As she continued to talk, he looked at her more as a person rather than with the stiffness he held before of her being his captain. Even if she wasn't his captain anymore, he considered her more of a leader than that Lyle man. He didn't like what she said next. It felt like she was afraid, even if she wasn't. It felt like she was giving up on him, backing out of a situation she wasn't sure she could handle.
"I hear your comment that I should leave," Phoebus crossed his arms over his chest. "But do you want me to leave ... Chainey?" He approached her, his expression now serious. Not as a guard to his captain, but as a person to their equal. "Perhaps physically there are some differences between us. But I was a captain once too. I was promoted because I was fully qualified. I was a captain for a long time. And I can tell when someone puts on a front. Lord only knows how many times I've done it." He sighed. "They cannot do more damage to me than I have already done to myself. I am not afraid of them ... or you." Phoebus stepped out into the hall, and looked to her. In a respectful tone he said, "I was privileged to have you as my captain. You were better than I, or my previous captains, could have strived to be. Should you ever desire company, Lady Chainey, I would be glad to visit again. Even if it is ... foolish." A very small smirk etched on his face.

Chainey stood strong while he spoke, his words not seeming to reach her ears. Her wings were relaxed, the claws at their tip stretched then relaxed. After a moment, he lost the puppy like quality her companions normally held to her. She suddenly saw his color a bit brighter, a bit clearer, as if he was not only older than a puppy, he was suddenly a human. She relaxed a bit and the red of her eyes became softer. Her ears slowly folded back as he kept speaking.
She looked down, searching the ground as he backed into the hall. She put both of her hands to her stomach, she felt awful and confused. She wasn't sure how to feel like a women sometimes, but right now, she was sure she felt like a women. She didn't know how to explain it, but there was so much emotion on the surface that she wanted to explore. Something about the path before her that made her stronger. She crossed the door as if it were a line into the unknown. They were across the line now, no longer separate, in more ways than one. Her long legs and dinosaur like paws needed only two steps to meet him in the hall.
"Wait-Don't leave!." She wrapped her arms around him, even her wings curling a bit to touch his shoulders. She put her head down into his shoulder. Her tail moved slowly back and forth, then relaxed upon the ground. She let go after a moment and back up, her hand outstretched as she moved toward her room again. "Stay." Her voice was more silent, unsure and silent. "Stay with me." She corrected herself, proving she wanted no room for error in interrupting.

Phoebus sighed, and then straightened up. The slightly playful smirk dissolved into a frowning smile, the sort of expression where one tried to be cheerful, but it didn't come across well. He bowed his head and said, "Farewell, Lady Chainey. Until we see each other again in the future." He went to make his leave, but it wasn't long before two arms went around him, as well as two wings. Chainey's head relaxed on his shoulder.
Phoebus was startled but not unpleasantly so. There was still something comforting about her, something gentle, despite her more gargoyle-esque appearance. Phoebus didn't hug her back, but he did compromise by tilting his head slightly so that it brushed against hers. His eyes closed and he thought about her protest to him leaving. In ways he was relieved. It would have been disappointing to leave her behind after only just seeing her again.
When she backed away, he held his hands behind his back. His shoulders straightened but not to a point of being rigid. "All right," Phoebus said in a gentler voice, bowing his head again. "If you are sure that is what you want, then I will gladly stay." He stepped back into the room. There was a very small hint of a smile on the corners of his otherwise neutral lips.

Chainey straightened and waited until he was in the room to gently close the door. Her legs bent like that of an animal's hind legs, and it made it harder to have graceful steps, but there was still beauty in their rigid walk. Her tail dragged behind her as she made her way back over to the body. "If I'm able to drink enough, I might have my human form back." She commented dryly, but contrasted her words by picking up the body and pushing it out the window. It took awhile for her to take the entire human out, but this task seemed small for her stronger body. She occasionally had to crawl out the window with it, when nobody was passing by, in order to hide it in the hay cart below. She climbed back in the window, her wings carefully folded so she could fit through.
She walked back to him, a certain smile on her face, one found often on a child who learned something new or met someone new. "Now let's go out!" She suggested, a new found energy in her cheeks and body. She jumped back a bit and her wings spread to glide her across the floor. She folded them and bowed a bit to let him know she was showing off. "These muscles have long waited to be stretched and I've only got until they find me out, so let's make the most of it." She suggested.
She walked quickly to her closet, she seemed stronger with a child like excitement. She came back with a long hooded coat. She folded her wings and comfortably slipped it on, tying the front and slipping the hood over. "Just say I'm your sick grandmother. We can go to the river! I'm thirsty." She commented, putting her hands on his arm so he could guard her. "This hood will cut my hearing and smell though, so my world isn't as clear."
